One characteristics of Pinoy is always being lazy. We’ve always wanted to make our life easy, sometimes we don’t exerting more efforts on many things and we just wanted to relax and just to tambay.
The word tambay comes from the word “istambay” which derived from the English word “standby” or “stand by”, meaning to say a person which readily available or be present without action.
If we will be noticed most of us Filipino people do not really make use our time in sensible ways or sensible things, we don’t use our time at all and sometimes we just wasting our time on many nonsense things.
Tambay can also mean hang out. The most commonly and traditionally referred to as tambays or standby are those groups of adolescence and adults men who hang around by the street or outside sari-sari store, often times taking shot of alcohol drink prejudged as was freak.
